August 25: Artist Receptions cancelled

Due to unexpected circumstances, the final two artist receptions for Art in August 2022 have unfortunately been cancelled. The art from 24 artists remains on display at 20 locations throughout Winchester. Take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the artwork and read about the artists! The artist biographies posted at the exhibits generally include contact information, and the Winchester Cultural Council artist directory lists the Art in August artists and more.

 

Big Night for the Arts, Aug. 18: FIVE artist receptions!

On Thursday, August 18, Winchester residents have a special opportunity to see and meet local artists. Meet-the-artist receptions will take place at five locations around town, featuring seven different artists: fabric artists Sue Clark, Denise Konicek and Kiyomi Yatsuhashi; jewelry maker Wendy Jo New, painter and jewelry maker Teri Coté, and painters Michiko Katsumi and Lucia Rubini. All receptions are from 6–8 p.m.

These artist receptions, part of Art in August 2022, are where you can learn more about the artists, ask about their work see more of what they have to offer. Refreshments will be served. Come and have a cultural evening downtown!

Downtown Winchester will be sparking on the evening of Thursday, August 23, when there will be meet-the-artist receptions at four separate businesses. Come to ClarkCare to see Muriel Crum; to Edward Jones to meet ceramic artist Petra Riemans-Rinsma; to Pairings to meet photographer Robert Hesse, jewelry maker Wendy Jo New, and fused glass artist Debbie Taylor-Smith; and to The Book and Board to speak with painter Lynn Ricci and photographer Dafna Leonard.
