John Williams

John brings history to life through his intriguing cut paper collage portraits of historical figures. He also creates evocative landscapes to offer peaceful respite in a turbulent world. The floral bouquets are a new addition to his portfolio.

John sees his work as a metaphor for his daily life dealing with autism.  "The world for me is a chaotic place.  Thoughts and images swirl around endlessly in my head.  Art allows me to channel my energy, organizing many disparate elements into a unified and coherent image: Order out of Chaos.”

John graduated from Winchester High and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. His studio is in Winchester. Visitors are welcome.
