LexArt is excited to announce a call to artists in Lexington and surrounding towns for two dimensional, representational or abstract painting that relates to the New England shoreline and or coastal way of life. Work can be in any painting medium including, mixed painting media.
The exhibit will be displayed in our newly renovated Molly Harding Nye Gallery, an outstanding museum-style exhibition space.
Prizes: First, second, and third prizes of $1000, $500, and $250 will be awarded, with funding generously provided from the Estate of Lee Ferrara.
Submission deadline: May 1, 2022, 5 pm. Accepted artists can expect notification on or about May 13, 2022.
Entry fees and number of submissions: The entry fee for all entrants is $10 per entry for up to three entries (max $30). LexArt Painters Guild and Decorative Arts Guild members who joined those Guilds prior to January 1, 2022 may submit 3 entries free of charge. Accepted works must be hand delivered to LexArt between May 16 and May 17, 2022, 9am-5pm, in the LexArt office, 130 Waltham Street, Lexington, MA.
