Winchester Open Studios, November 18
On Saturday, November 18, Winchester will be a mecca for arts lovers—and holiday shoppers—when the first Winchester Open Studios showcases over 40 local artists and creators in nine locations around town. In addition to the artists participating in Open Studios, Winchester's Town Hall will host the "Rise & Shine" Holiday Marketplace with crafts, foods, and other holiday items (10 a.m.–3 p.m., admission charge), and the Parish of the Epiphany will hold its annual Christmas Fair (10 a.m.–4 p.m.). Musicians will be performing at different locations throughout the day.
The event hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Participating Winchester Open Studios locations are:
- Winchester Farmers' Market, Indoors at the Jenks Center, 109 Skillings Road (open until 3:30 p.m.). Fresh produce, baked goods, and many other food items as well as fresh artworks.
- The Winchester Unitarian Society, 478 Main Street. Over 20 artists show their work; refreshments and entertainment
- Studio on the Common, 22 Church Street. Painting, pottery, sculpture, handmade jewelry and a not-to-be-missed selection of gifts.
- First Congregational Church in Winchester, 21 Church Street.
- RubiniArt Gallery, 22 Park Street. Painting instruction and fine art.
- Carolyn Swett Leaf, 5 Winslow Road. Oil paintings.
- Susan Livada Studio, 30 Glen Road. Fine paintings.
- Carolyn Sirois Studio, 10 Wyman Court. Multi-media art.
- Griffin Museum of Photography, 67 Shore Road. Renowned photography museum.
