This introductory, hands-on workshop will explore the practice and production of augmented reality (AR) content, with a focus on public art and cultural experiences. Participants will learn how to create and share AR content using Hoverlay Spaces, a publishing platform based on a no-code workflow. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will have created their own AR channel, learned how to place content such as images, video, sound and/or 3D models in a physical location or on a reference image, and experienced their AR spaces in the Hoverlay mobile app. In Fall 2023, the Winchester Cultural District will launch its "Riverwalk Exhibit" which will include sculpture as well as augmented reality. This event is sponsored by the Winchester Cultural District. It is free and open to all residents.
