This program celebrates grandparents and grandchildren, as well as the diversity of the New England region. Award winning performer Davis Bates shares participatory stories and songs designed to educate and entertain and to create a feeling of community. The program includes play party games, traditional and contemporary folk songs, folk tales, creation myths, family stories and oral history narratives. Instrument played include spoon and Irish-American limber-jack. The concert is about 60 minutes in length, and will take place at the Jenks Senior Center during September of 2018, as part of the Senior Center's annual Grandparents' Day brunch celebration.
