As a participating artist you will be afforded the opportunity to show your work in a downtown business and have an artist reception if you choose to. You will be expected to communicate with your business host to make sure that your artwork does not become a burden or obstacle and that a good relationship is maintained. Any issues must be brought to the attention to the Art in August committee (Peter Pulsifer) immediately.
Thanks to support from the town of Winchester, no payment is required for Art in August.
The deadline for registration is Monday, July 1, 2024. (Post deadline submissions will be considered, on a space-available basis!)
We are planning a general public reception celebrating all artists and participating businesses on the evening of Thursday, Aug. 1. Admission is free!
Certain participating businesses will host public receptions for artists on Thursday evenings (6–8 p.m.) in August. You may request a reception, but please note that if we match you with a host for a reception, we ask that you attend and provide the refreshments.
Help with Art in the Park: Come display, demonstrate, or join in hands-on art making for all. You may show (and sell) your own art, or volunteer to help with the event.
